Postdoctoral Fellow opportunities

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated scientist to join a collaborative team of scientists in our lab. The successful candidate will work on developing novel approaches to enhance the efficacy of immunotherapy in treatment resistant cancers by modulating nutrient metabolism. This exciting project is funded by a National Cancer Institute R37 MERIT Award (R37CA292807). In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with a leading US-based venture capital firm and biotech company for developing new skills on the process of translating discoveries from bench to bedside.

The laboratory of Dr. Helen Hou at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ (houlab.org) focuses on the latest technologies in neuroscience to study how the brain controls movements and natural behaviors. This includes, but is not limited to, research on how the brain coordinates muscles of facial expressions to convey internal states. The position is open under specific projects as well as general research involving the application of methods from theoretical physics, mathematics, and machine learning with the goal to understand the brain function.

Dr. Hannah Meyer at the Simons Center for Quantitative Biology at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ (CSHL) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in developmental immunology.
The Meyer lab studies how the organization of the thymus and the cells therein provide an effective education system for T cells through genomics and mathematical modeling. For more information on our research program. The successful candidate will study tolerance induction and generation of diversity in the immune system as part of a larger interdisciplinary team of computational and experimental scientists. Our approach uses single-cell omics approaches coupled with high-resolution microscopy and in vitro models to study the mechanisms of human T cell development. The scientific approach to the project can be tailored to the applicant based on prior experience. Candidates with either a strong background in immunology or expertise in computational analysis or wet-lab experimentation are encouraged to apply.

A Postdoc Fellow position is available at The at CSHL Cancer Center. We are recruiting new members passionate about drug discovery and chemical biology. Our lab is working to understand the molecular mechanisms leading to efficient elicitation of tumor vulnerability for potent cancer targeting. We develop Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD) therapeutic strategies to abrogate or rewire cancer cell signaling. We have recently established a new discovery platform to expand the landscape of TPD E3 ligases and targeting modalities beyond conventional small molecules (Genes & Development (2022) 36:1031-1042.; Genes & Development (2023) 37: 1-17). For this open position, the project direction will be focused on continuing developing and validating novel TPD molecules to target undruggable proteins.

Dr. Lingbo Zhang’s Lab focuses on both basic science and translational medicine of hematologic malignancies. The research of the Lab centers on normal and malignant stem and progenitor cells in the hematopoietic system and decodes the role of metabolites, including micronutrients and neurotransmitters, in the tumor microenvironment and their genetic effectors in regulating hematologic malignancies. There are two fully funded postdoctoral fellowships available to investigate the roles of these critical metabolites and their genetic effectors in hematopoietic malignancies and develop novel therapeutic strategies.
