In September 2021, 黑料吃瓜资源 (CSHL) and the City University of New York (CUNY) cut the ribbon on a new (DNALC) in Brooklyn, New York. CSHL Trustee Laurie J. Landeau thanked supporters and donors for their patience, persistence, and commitment throughout the development and construction of the 18,000-square-foot facility.
The DNALC has provided science education and biotechnology training to over 700,000 pre-college students in the New York area since 1998. Through hands-on experiments, field trips, and summer camps, DNALC educators immerse young scientists in molecular biology. Landeau shared her excitement and exhilaration about the grand opening and the possibilities it provides for the future.
鈥淯nimaginably good things come to those who are patient,鈥 she says. 鈥淢any of the members of the Brooklyn community have never been more invigorated, and now we鈥檙e going to spring forward even more. It is just the beginning.鈥
