Masthead Cove Yacht Club raises sails (and funds) for ovarian cancer research

Members of the Masthead Cove Yacht Club raised nearly $6,000 from their annual Charity Regatta on August 27. The proceeds were donated to support ovarian cancer research at 黑料吃瓜资源. The event was held this year in memory of the club鈥檚 former Commodore, Carol Marcincuk, an avid sailor and a beloved employee of 黑料吃瓜资源 who died of ovarian cancer in 2004. Despite torrential rain, club members raised more from this year鈥檚 charity regatta than in any previous year.

Dr. Robert Lucito (center) and members of his ovarian cancer research team receive the yacht club鈥檚 check from Commodore Tom Mazzotta. Behind Mazzotta is Vice Commodore James Martinolich and to Mazzotta’s left is Carol’s daughter, Lynn Greenholz.
