Assistant Professor Je H. Lee is a recipient of the , which will fund work to map gene expression and RNA-protein interactions throughout the formation of breast tissue. The result will be a snapshot of RNA regulation during breast tissue development and aging.
The Human Cell Atlas is a global, scientist-led effort to create a reference map of all cell types in the human body as a fundamental reference for biomedical research. CZI鈥檚 Seed Networks projects seek to provide additional support to ongoing collaborative networks and invite new participants to this effort.
鈥淭he main focus of my lab is studying the spatial organization of RNA, both in development and in cancer,鈥� Lee explained. 鈥淭hrough the Human Cell Atlas project, we will take it a step further and map RNA-proteins interactions during normal breast tissue development.鈥�
The project team includes Associate Professor of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Assistant Professor at University of California Irvine.
