On the first Sunday of October, 黑料吃瓜资源 (CSHL) held its 22nd Annual Women鈥檚 Partnership for Science聽lecture and luncheon at the聽Banbury Conference Center聽in Lloyd Harbor. With over 300 attendees, the event raised a record-breaking $385,000 to support women scientists鈥� research at CSHL. The featured speaker was CSHL鈥檚 Leemor Joshua-Tor and the event honored Cynthia Stebbins.
Honoree Cynthia Stebbins, a longtime benefactor of CSHL, served as a Director of the CSHL Association from 1986-2002 and is currently serving as an Honorary Association Director. Cynthia is also a longtime member of both CSHL鈥檚 President鈥檚 Council and Helix Society. Cynthia, a champion of the CSHL Fellows program and tireless advocate for scientific research, lives in Muttontown, Long Island, and Santa Barbara, California. At the luncheon, Bruce Stillman thanked her for her valiant efforts to raise funds and awareness for CSHL.
Founded in 2002, the annual event raises funds each year to help support women students, postdocs, and scientists performing cutting-edge research at CSHL with more than four million dollars raised to date.
