History of Science Resource: HIV/AIDS Research

On October 13-16, 2016, 黑料吃瓜资源 hosted a scientific meeting about HIV/AIDS, 鈥淗IV/AIDS Research: Its History and Future.鈥

The conference brought together prominent HIV/AIDS experts to share their thoughts on the past, present and future of AIDS research. Participants included NIAID director Anthony Fauci, co-discoverers of HIV Fran莽oise Barr茅-Sinoussi and Robert Gallo, and many other distinguished researchers. A complete list of speakers and a detailed description of the meeting may be found .

CSHL recorded and transcribed the talks from this conference. With support from the NEH, the Library and Archives created an extensive wiki with an index including people, places and institutions, and key scientific and technical terms.

This wiki is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in the history of HIV/AIDS, the history of modern biomedical research, or the the scientific and policy struggles at the center of the fight against HIV/AIDS.

We at the CSHL Library and Archives are very proud of this project, which was completed in 2021. If you haven鈥檛 already, take a look!

The wiki can be accessed .
